Support Us

Your support makes our grant programs possible.

We are raising $1,000,000 to catalyze local ecological action - a critical component of resilience and hope in the face of climate change.

Our 2023 Ecological Restoration Grant recipients made waves across the bioregion with projects including shoreline restoration, invasive plant removal, pollinator habitat, forest understory restoration and deer protection, and native plant gardens.

In 2024, Ecological Restoration Grant awards will be made to projects in two key environmental focus areas: forest health and at-risk pollinator habitat. Help us double our impact this year with a tax-deductible donation. .

About Our Grantmaking

PCA grants are available to municipalities, libraries, nonprofits, schools, and faith-based institutions in Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster, Putnam and Orange Counties. At least 40% of grants are awarded to disadvantaged and underserved communities, who are often on the front lines of the climate crisis.

We are committed to ensuring that every dollar distributed in our grant programs achieves its maximum potential. PCA’s grant review committee and advisors bring deep professional expertise to our selection process while our expert program officers provide personalized support to each project, from environmental education to assistance with communications and recordkeeping.

The future of our bioregion depends on climate action - in our precious natural areas, our backyards, and our communities. We call on everyone who cares about the Hudson Valley to join us in supporting our grant programs, and the ecological work that is literally saving our lives.
