The Deer Dilemma: How we got here and where we need to go

Brendan Quirion, head deer and bear biologist for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will discuss the science behind how overabundant deer populations are impacting our forests and ways we can turn the tide toward restoring balance. Quirion’s responsibilities as the chief big game biologist for New York and his background in forest conservation and research give him special insight into the many challenges facing our forests.

The lecture will take place at the Columbia-Greene Community College (4400 Route 23, Hudson, NY) and will also be available virtually.
