Lecture Recording: The Deer Dilemma

Brendan Quirion, head deer and bear biologist for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, discusses the science behind how overabundant deer populations are impacting our forests and ways we can turn the tide toward restoring balance. Quirion’s responsibilities as the chief big game biologist for New York and his background in forest conservation and research give him special insight into the many challenges facing our forests. This lecture took place at Columbia-Greene Community College. Stay tuned for more events run by PCA's Forest Health Task Force.
