$20,000 Raised for PCA at The Caboose

It was truly a night to remember as PCA’s forest health work was celebrated at the opening night of The Caboose, an exciting new net-zero event space in Hudson.  A capacity crowd of more than 150 people gathered to enjoy a meal prepared by four of the Hudson Valley’s top chefs, including three nominees for the prestigious James Beard Award.

“It was a a true honor when The Caboose told us they wanted to support PCA’s ecological restoration work at this dinner,” says co-founder, Matt Stinchcomb, who spoke at the dinner about PCA’s efforts to address the rapid decline in our native forests.  Ben Fain, the environmentalist and entrepreneur behind The Caboose and several other businesses that are committed to sustainability, said, “In my mind, Partners for Climate Action is at the forefront of the work we need to be doing to improve our local ecosystems.   All of us at The Caboose are really proud to support them.”

Joining Fain and his team were restaurateurs and hospitality professionals, Kim Bucci and Ray Pirkle and their staff at Rivertown Lodge, who donated their services for the decorations and production support of the event.

The truly memorable meal was a collaboration between the executive chefs at Casa Susanna/Rivertown, Cafe Mutton, Mel the Bakery, and Kitty’s.

We are grateful for the support and opportunity.
